Request for use of images of works in the Museum Collection
Application
Those who wish to photograph, use images, or closely inspect works of art in the Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art collection are required to submit an application for special viewing and obtain permission to do so.
a) Timeline
With few exceptions, applications for special viewing must be submitted to the Curatorial Planning Section, Curating Department of the Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art at least 14 days prior to the date of the use (the date on which you need the images, or the date on which you want to photograph or closely inspect the works).

Free
c) Copyright
If permission from the copyright holder is required to post an image, the applicant must obtain it and must bear all costs associated with the process.
d) Restrictions
Works can be used only for the purpose of promoting and disseminating art, research, and/or education.
They may not be used for any purposes that run contrary to public order and morals, or for any other illegal purposes.
Please comply with the Rules for Special Viewing below when you use our artworks.
How to apply
a) Fill out the application form
Be sure to read and accept the Rules on Special Viewing below, and fill out the application form.
b) Submit the application form
Send your completed application form by e-mail or fax to the Curatorial Planning Section, Curating Department, of the Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art.

Our staff will contact you to confirm the details of your application. You will then be asked to send the original copy of the application form (with a letter of permission from the copyright holder, if necessary) by post to the address below.
