Collection Policy
The museum currently focuses on developing its collection in five categories.
The museum also maintains special collections in such categories as European prints from the Renaissance to the modern era, among others.
Donated Collections
The following art collections, acquired by private individuals at their own expense, have been donated to the museum:
The Takahashi Hakushin Collection of late Edo period ukiyo-e by Utagawa Kunisada and other masters
The Egami Hisayuki Collection of Hokkaido ceramics from the late Edo period to the postwar Showa era
The Tomoda Takio Collection of modern and contemporary Western and Japanese prints
