Nakaya Yuitsu, Monument - Kojiki (Okinagatarashi and Her Son), 2014
This exhibition focuses on art that deals with stories from books such as the Bible and the Kojiki, an eighth-century chronicle of Japanese myths and legends. After an artist’s imagination was sparked by a story and they closely studied the text, they created vivid images of its unique scenes and fictional characters. Playful Encounters of Pokémon and Japanese Craft
Since opening at the National Crafts Museum in Ishikawa Prefecture in March 2023, this exhibition has attracted enormous interest as it has traveled to venues across Japan.
