UTAGAWA KUNIYOSHI

- the Super Creator of Ukiyo-e!

Active in the mid-19th century, the ukiyo-e artist Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1797-1861) made musha-e (warrior pictures) based on the classic Chinese novel Shui hu zhan (The Water Margin) along with a diverse range of other works such as bijin-ga (pictures of beautiful women) and landscapes. In this exhibition, we introduce the captivating world of Kuniyoshi through some 200 ukiyo-e works and immersive videos.

Adults: 1,700(1,500) yen / Senior high school and university students: 1,000(800) yen / Junior high school students: 700(500) yen
Elementary school students and younger: free
