Overview

Collection Stories: European Prints(1F)

Fine examples of European prints spanning approximately 500 years, from Albrecht Dürer at the beginning of the sixteenth century to Antoni Clavé, who was active in the latter half of the twentieth century, are introduced. See how printmaking evolved and diversified over the years.

Collection Stories: Op Art(1F)

Op art attracted attention in the latter half of the 1960s for its sense of movement and light brought about by the optical effects of patterns composed of geometric forms. Examples of Op art from our collection are brought together in this show.

Collection Stories: Art Nouveau and Art Deco Glass(2F)

Art Nouveau and Art Deco were artistic styles which flourished for several decades from the end of the nineteenth century to the beginning of the twentieth century. Numerous examples of glasswork that absorbed the changes of the times and society, and were produced employing new motifs, forms, and techniques, will be presented.
