Marc Chagall built up a world of art brimming with poetic sentiment, ethnic character, and a unique sense of color. Complete sets of Dead Souls. Daphnis and Chloe, and Exodus in our collection will be on show for you to explore the charms of the prints by Chagall.

During the wartime period, from the outbreak of the Sino-Japanese War in 1937 to the end of the Pacific War in 1945, painters from Hokkaido also headed to the battlefront to report and record the war. What they saw and what they expressed are introduced through works in our collection.
