Print-Art

Contents

We collect print art to acknowledge Eastern Hokkaido's renown for its printmakers.  With our focus on both domestic and international prints, we have acquired graphic designs, photographs, posters, and a wide range of other print-related art. Our collection includes posters by Cassandre, Toulouse-Lautrec, and Mucha, works of Hokkaido's graphic design pioneer Kuriyagawa Kenichi, as well as works by Noda Tetsuya and Shima Kuniichi, who in their practice explore and extend the notion of "print".
