The French art world of the 19th and 20th centuries saw the emergence of a series of expressions that made use of the individuality of the artist with an emphasis on humanity, which greatly influenced the art of the following centuries. Artists from all over the world flocked to Paris, subsequently giving birth to a diverse range of art. This exhibition features around 100 works by 17 representative artists of this period, from the Western paintings collection of Kasama Nichido Museum of Art in Kasama City, Ibaraki Prefecture.
